ANNOUNCING THE DZ-3 Yagi Antenna! No tools needed! Sets up in a few minutes!

This antenna was first described by W0DZ in QST for July, 2001. We have ruggedized it, lowered its weight and made it live up to its promise of being able to be set up and torn down in a few minutes using no tools!

A complete DZ-3 antenna with elements for all five bands will be about $850. We expect to be able to ship in September.

No software to load, no digital stuff to create interference, just good old-fashioned analog electronics!

New! HM-17 SWR Meter kit is rugged, requires no power supply, and handles 1W to 1KW(CW) on HF/6M!

We looked around for a good, "no-frills", inexpensive SWR meter and couldn't find any that were made in the U.S. with the features we wanted (high power handling, accurate, sturdy, tip-resistant, good looking). So we made our own, and now you can too! The HM-17 requires only 3 hours to build, costs less than $100, and will provide years of use. Looks great too! Handles as little as 1W and as much as 1KW CW. Meter shows VSWR up to 3:1 and reflected power in percent. All point-to-point wiring; no PC boards! Screwed-on rubber feet won't come off like stick-on feet, and they help keep it from sliding, too. Rugged extruded aluminum case stands up to abuse, and the front-weighted design helps keep the unit from flipping up when coax is attached. Requires no AC or DC power. Use it to adjust antennas for best match to your transmitter. Uses 50 ohm SO-239 connectors. Accurate to +/-5%. High quality parts throughout. Learn how SWR meters work, too, with our comprehensive manual. A great winter project. Now shipping! Download manuals here!

"The kit arrived in good shape. No problem with the packaging.  It went together easily. The meter is very attractive and works as advertised and makes a great addition to my ham shack." - Jim, W3WA

We asked one of our first customers his opinion of the kit. Here's what he said:

"
The package was in excellent shape. There were no shortages. It took me about 5-1/2 hours to complete building the kit. The instructions and documentation are excellent. I found the transmitted audio to be very good and the receiver to be very sensitive. Thanks for a quality kit . I expect to be building more of your kits in the near future." -- Jim, W3WA
