DZKit offers support before and after your purchase in these ways:
Phone:
Call toll-free at 877-426-7422 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time Monday through
Saturday. For technical issues, ask for support. For questions about our
products, ask for the sales department. There is no charge.
Email:
If you haven't bought a DZKit yet and have questions about our products, please e-mail us at
sales@dzkit.com. We'll get back to you
promptly.
If you are having technical problems, please e-mail us at support@dzkit.com.
An engineer will discuss your problem with you promptly via email. We monitor
email frequently and are usually available before and well after "official"
hours, even on weekends.
Forum:
Due to high levels of spam which is out of our control, the forum has been
disabled. We're trying to come up with a version that will allow you to opt-in
to the forum and provide password protection to eliminate the spam problem.
Repair:
If the unit initially worked but stopped working within the shorter of six
months from the shipment date or 90 days from successful completion (we'll trust
you to let us know when that is), send it to us at the above address and we'll
repair it at no charge and send it back to you at our expense. The
warranty does
not cover damage caused by use of acid core solder or obvious abuse. If, after
assembling the unit, you can't get it to work and our tech support has been
unable to help you via phone or email, send it in and we'll investigate it. If
it turns out to be a wiring or assembly error (or software installed by someone
other than DZKit), we'll provide you with an estimate of the
repair cost. If it's a component problem, we'll fix it at no charge.
If the unit is out of warranty, you have several choices:
1. Send the unit to the address above. We'll investigate the problem and give
you a repair estimate. If you want us to repair it, we'll do so and bill you for
the repairs.
2. If the problem is in a removable component, the least expensive way to solve
it is to simply replace the part yourself by buying one from Mouser, DigiKey,
Newark or Allied.
3. Replacement parts are available from our order desk if you should want to
fix the unit yourself.
4. Contact an authorized repair service. See below. Many of the "builders for
hire" also provide service.
Builders for hire:
Here's a list of people who have volunteered to build your kit for you.
Some provide service as well. If you plan to have one of these people build your
kit, please let us know when you order and we will drop ship directly to them.
If you use our online ordering system, you can simply enter a different ship-to
address.
